Flagstaff Leadership Program
Retreat
Each year, the new Flagstaff Leadership Program (FLP) class gathers on a weekend in early September for a three-day retreat. Classmates get acquainted, learn how to work as a team, solve problems collaboratively, and have a really good time together.
Leadership & Education Days
From September to the following May class members commit one full day each month to a series of Leadership Education Days (LEDs). Topics are drawn from areas of community activity and concern such as Sustainable Communities, Health and Human Services, Diversity and Culture, and Economic Development. LEDs draw on top community leaders who expose class members directly to local issues and the people involved.
Graduation
Graduation takes place in May and is celebrated with a banquet.
Second Year
New graduates commit to a second year of contributing to the success of FLP by helping run retreat, LEDs and/or serving on committees.
